The Wildlife Trusts - Ulster WT Nature Reserves
Proportion of the area of the contribution comprising Key Biodiversity Areas: 2.7%
This dataset contains the boundaries of nature reserve sites managed by Ulster Wildlife Trust in Northern Ireland, UK. The sites included have been reviewed and approved for public sharing. The dataset represents a subset of all Ulster Wildlife Trust reserves; additional sites may exist but are not included where they are considered private or sensitive and have therefore been withheld from public release. The boundaries are provided for conservation reporting, spatial analysis, and informational purposes. A Wildlife Trust nature reserve is a legally protected area of land that a local Wildlife Trust manages in the United Kingdom (and its territories) specifically to safeguard habitats and species, restore ecological processes, and provide opportunities for people to experience nature responsibly. It is designated because of its particular wildlife value, managed according to clear conservation objectives, and maintained for the long term benefit of biodiversity and local communities.” All are listed here: www.wildlifetrusts.org/nature-reserves

Absolute value (STAR)
0% of the total biodiversity conservation potential of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is covered by this project.
0.1% of Europe's biodiversity conservation potential is from United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
1.6% of global biodiversity conservation potential is from Europe.
The chart below represents the relative disaggregation of the selected contribution's total potential opportunity for reducing global species extinction risk through taking actions to abate different threats to species within its boundaries. The percentages refer to the amount of the total opportunity that could potentially be achieved through abating that particular threat.
